Wood Heat/Cook Stoves for RV’s, Large Tents and Boats

If you own a remote retreat that has a travel trailer on it for living quarters, one of the most difficult things to do is heat it when there is no propane or kerosene for heating available.

For an option there is a company that specializes in small wood stoves for boats and RV’s. This company makes a variety of small, high quality wood stoves for boats and RV's check it out, they are very nice.

Obviously, being of small size the fire box will handle fire wood no more than 12 inches long, so it will burn down rather quickly and feeding it every few hours will be necessary. But when space is limited and you can cook on this also it will get you by until another heat/cooking source is found. The over all size of the one in the photo below is: 18w x 13 3/4d x 11 3/8h.

This is the Little Cod Model: http://www.marinestove.com/codinfo.htm

Thanks for this post on small wood stoves. I live in an RV and being originally from Maine would love to heat with wood again. As well as living off grid....thanks
