Solar Panels at Home Depot?

Just thought I’d pass this along if you are planning on setting up your first solar power system or going to add more panels to an existing one. When walking through HD I have never seen any kind of solar panels or solar equipment at HD, just thought they didn’t handle it.

I don’t recall why I searched the Home Depot web site for solar panels but it must have been because of one of those annoying animated side bar ads that forced my attention to cancel it. Anyway, I went to their site and was surprised at what they offer and the pricing.

I immediately purchased two, 100 watt, 5.42 amps, 18.5v panels for $149.00 each and they will deliver them to my home or to the store for free! And yes they will be delivered to my home! I'll post photo's when the panels arrive.

Check them out:

Grape Solar 100-Watt Monocrystalline PV Solar Panel, 10 year limited product warranty on materials and workmanship.25 year warranty on >80% power output and 10 year warranty on >90% power output.

  1. Mike,

After you get them and set them up, please let us know how they work for you and if you're satisfied.

    Thanks, Sandy

  3. Sandy,
They are to arrive first week in Oct. I'll take some photo's and test the output, then figure out how to mount them on my roof. So it probably will not be operational until late Oct.
