Living Prepared is about Minimal Preparations of Food, Water, Shelter and Protection you need to survive a disaster aftermath on your own for at least a month and probably much longer, maybe a year. The methods within I have tested and use for my own survival. Hopefully they will give you some guidance with your decisions on how to prepare yourself and family.

Sawyer MINI Water Filter
just about to order a "Life Straw" when I read the post from "coyotebc"
about the Sawyer water filter. Tue Dec
23, 2014 4:54 am: "I used the life straw
and it works quite well however I prefer the similarly priced sawyer mini-filter.
It does everything the life straw does plus you can use it for filling
containers and such."))
for posting this coyotebc!
I looked it up and knew this was the mini filter I
really needed. I ordered one and it arrived a couple days ago. I'm impressed
with the price, size and features the Sawyer has over the Life Straw.
The features I like about the
Sawyer over the Life Straw:
1. It can
be used like a simple straw to get drinking water from a pond, river or bulk
comes with the back flushing/cleaning syringe.
comes with a bag that you can fill from the available water source, attach to
the filter then either squeeze a stream of filtered water into your mouth, fill
your water packs drinking bladder or best of all you can squeeze a stream of filtered
water into your cooking pot for your meals.
very small and easy to pack, for a size reference the straw shown is 7 inches
long and the bag rolls up into about a 1 inch diameter. 5. The price just $15.00

features of this filter:
