Bad feeling about the near future

Over at http://atthelakeinthewoods14.blogspot.com/2018/08/deep-in-thought.html Rob asked if anyone else has a bad feeling that the SHTF is on its way?

I think so!

The end of the USA as we know it is close at hand and will be destroyed by the Left. It will be destroyed by an Economic Collapse. The Democrat Party has clearly announced to the world they are now the “Democrat Socialist Party of America” and they ultimately want a Dictatorship running the country.

They are promising to give everything to the stupid teenagers who can vote and Millennial’s who are spoiled brats and those who have a job make far to much money. Free single-payer healthcare is Dirty Bernie’s, latest stupidity to the tune of $31 trillion over 10 years.

Our elected politicians are corrupt to the core and have no experience in building a country and through their greed is destroying it.

We have an ex-president for the first time in history, set up a group called “Organizing for Action” (OFA). OFA is 30,000+ strong and working to disrupt everything that our current President’s administration is trying to do”.

The race card is played continuously inciting the stupid, sub-human people, into shootings and riots (I mean protests, Ha). Wait for them to start burning down the cities they live in.

I am retired and scared to death that the collapse is on its’ way and I’m not sure how to hide my meager retirement savings from our government's corrupt hands just so they can give it to the crybabies who have never earn anything.

I believe we are being lied to about the size of our oil reserves. If not why are we still buying foreign oil?? Without oil, we go back to caveman days in no time.

I don’t know if you noticed, but the cost of living is rising so fast most people don’t see it. Down here we have GM Trucks being advertised up to 24% off sticker! Detroit would never do that unless they can’t move their inventory and are desperate for sales.

Our distribution infrastructure is so fragile that any hick-up in the JIT (just in time) supply chain will delay food, fuel, and other necessities maybe for weeks.

I think about the tariffs and the retaliation of the other country suppliers not shipping component parts in a timely manner as punishment, thereby shutting down carmakers and all businesses who are having their components made Off-shore or Mexico or Canada.

All this is the fault of our inexperienced politicians making bad deals years ago. Now we’re paying the price for them.

We are the next Venezuela, study it, learn how to live under a dictatorship.

Stock up on the basic long-term foods and all survival supplies, lots of them. Again look at Venezuela and their citizens starving. They are begging for rice, beans, and flour, The Prepper Staples. Maybe even think about leaving the country for a safe place to live.

It’s going to get ugly with the sub-humans beating their drums and targeting White people with violence, burning down subdivisions and businesses. No Fireman or Policemen are going to risk being shot trying to put them out.

Prepare while there is time!

  1. I'm too old and crippled up to bug-out and too poor to stock up, so I just trust in the Lord. If He wants me to, I've survive, if not, I'll be in a better place. If the "zombies" attack, though, you can be sure that I'll go down shooting! - lol

      You're very welcome.

    1. The daily shootings in the northwest side is a sign that law enforcement can do nothing. It's close to the time to bail.
Thanks for the offer, I will keep it in mind. We can caravan out of here!

    3. Thank you. It will be kept in my plans and options. Have you been doing anything with the country home lately?

  4. Stockpiling emergency food and such will only keep you alive for a short while. Waiting until "it" happens to relocate will most likely make you an easy target for zombies. Developing a more self sufficient lifestyle now is, IMHO, the smartest thing to do. Most days, I ask myself if I had to survive off of what I harvested THAT day, could I do it? Fortunately, the answer is usually YES. Today: 1/2 gallon of milk, 10 eggs, 25 okra pods, and a few bananas. Think about it, folks...

    1. Tired,
The main reason I and most of us stock emergency food is to get us through a short term disaster such as hurricanes, earthquakes, and forest fires etc that could limit grid power and prevent retail and supermarkets to be open. That timeframe maybe a week, a month, maybe several months but however our preps are not intended to survive an apocalypse not for the rest of out lives.

For a homestead there are many who desire to own one and attempt to live a self-reliant life but it simply is not possible for us for many reasons, mostly money and physical limitations.

I‘m glad to hear your homestead is providing as planned a return on investment and offering up some safe food.

I also wish, you would post and share much more about your homestead as it appears to be a fine example of a modern homestead with chain link fencing and manicured lawns. Let us see your barns, hay pasture, vegetable garden, chicken coups, goat barns, etc.

  6. saw a video about the inaptly named antifa. very depressing. those idiots vote and i'll bet they are bankrolled by parents. don't look like workers and could never have time to wreak destruction if they needed to earn money for groceries.
    they vote~!!!

    1. Deb,
I have a fix for the problem of antifa. Protests are good if orderly. However the antifa is all about violence, so let’s respond accordingly. Arm all the police sharp shooters with 22 rimfire rifles and shoot them below the belt-line to wound anyone with a mask on! The rifle would be equipped with video cameras to record each shot. Now the best part, they have to go to an ER for treatment and while there they get matched to the video and go straight to jail in GITMO as what they are, terrorists. Problem solved!

  7. "Maybe even think about leaving the country for a safe place to live."

My wife is a naturalized citizen of the U.S. She heard someone say this on TV last week. She turned to me and said "There IS no place to run to!" She's right... We both share the feeling that our country's on the cusp of civil war, and everything that brings with it. The people bankrolling this know exactly what they're doing. Their useful idiots; the ones who are rioting and burning, know NOTHING of what they're doing.

We're prepping as best we can, but face it; none of us is fully prepared for what's to come. Do what you can. Anything you do to prepare is better than doing nothing!

I'm on the downhill side of life myself. It's not about me; it's about my kids... and theirs! Don't go quietly into the night. Silence is tantamount to "getting on the bus." Push back, any way you can! Si vis pacem, para bellum. "If you want peace, prepare for war..."

    1. Pete,
Thanks for the insightful comments. Your wife is right, there is no safe place to run to! But for me it is a thought that has a feel good quality about it.

My house is just 2x4 walls, wood siding and drywall. A 9mm goes right through them so I have no protection that would give me time to take suitable cover.

When the daily drive by shootings start happening here like what’s going on in the northwest quadrant of this city, I’m out of here.

Right now I have a couple plans to deal with that violence coming my way.
      1. My wife never had children and I have only one, who is retired Air Force and lives far outside of Dallas, far enough from the big city that the sub-humans couldn’t easily find him. So relocating is not a “leaving the family” behind issue. I wouldn’t move in with him but buy a house very close by. Dallas is not my favorite place on earth because it’s just too hot there.
      2. And second, yes it’s time to leave the country. But not where most people think, for me it is the Caribbean. The favorite place for us is the Caymans, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac, but not the big island. Both are very low population islands and after those two, most any of the small non USA owned islands.

  8. Well it's kind of like the sinking of the Titanic. The men who knew they were gong to die, went in the lounge and had cigars and brandy while the band played on! They stood there resolute knowing that their loved ones were in the lifeboats and had a chance. One thing for sure, when the end does come, fear won't stop it from happening.

  9. Mike a crisis is near look at history the economy runs on an 8 to10 year boom to bust cycle. We are 10 years out from the 08 housing bubble .S0 another one is due. The next one will be BAD, we are a nation of cry baby's now. The race card is being played so we don't hang our leaders. while a lot of black leaders are trying to hold on to there power with the race baiting. A lot of middle and lower earning blacks are waking up. This is one reason why things are accelerating. Minorities are beginning to wake up that part of the push for immigration.

  11. That's a good post, Mike. Well reasoned, and absolutely true. Things are going down the drain faster than I can keep up with events. Don't see how the rot can be arrested at this stage.
