Sawyer MINI Water Filter

I was just about to order a "Life Straw" when I read the post from "coyotebc" about the Sawyer water filter. Tue Dec 23, 2014 4:54 am:  "I used the life straw and it works quite well however I prefer the similarly priced sawyer mini-filter. It does everything the life straw does plus you can use it for filling containers and such."))

I looked it up and knew this was the mini filter I really needed. I ordered one and it arrived a couple days ago. I'm impressed with the price, size and features the Sawyer has over the Life Straw.

The features I like about the Sawyer over the Life Straw:

1. It can be used like a simple straw to get drinking water from a pond, river or bulk container.

2. It comes with the back flushing/cleaning syringe.

3. It comes with a bag that you can fill from the available water source, attach to the filter then either squeeze a stream of filtered water into your mouth, fill your water packs drinking bladder or best of all you can squeeze a stream of filtered water into your cooking pot for your meals.

4. It's very small and easy to pack, for a size reference the straw shown is 7 inches long and the bag rolls up into about a 1 inch diameter.
