Starting to get gusty, maybe 50mph at times.
The power at the motel went out several times, once for an hour. No motel coffee, A/C, TV or lights, hope it stays on because the room gets warm quickly and no windows that open. The downside of evacuation is you can get trapped in an uncomfortable bug out location.
Nothing special going on today, actually been kind of nice out. Just similar to one of our typical thunderstorms. We will be heading home Monday afternoon just 30+mph expected in the morning fading to normal winds. A neighbor said, no trees down or high winds at home. Good!
Us folks up here are thinking of you folks down there and saying a few prayers. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gorges.
DeleteGlad your safe. My kids are in contact with friends down your way. The stories are insane.
ReplyDeleteMe too, the storm could have been right on top of us.
DeleteI'd say I'm sending 'go away' vibes but we know that doesn't work (or we sure wouldn't have had Harvey, ha). Hang in there, I know if anyone is prepared it would be YOU!
ReplyDeleteThe vibes must have worked, thanks! :-)
