- Heat oven to 375ºF.
- Cream-in butter, sugars, vanilla and egg in large bowl
- Add in flour, baking soda and salt. Add in chocolate chips.
- Drop 2 tablespoonfuls per cookie about 2 inches apart onto greased or parchment papered cookie sheet.
- Position two oven racks in the middle levels. Bake two sheets at a time. Bake the top sheet for 12 minutes. After 12 minutes remove the top sheet and set aside to cool, then reposition the lower sheet to where the top sheet was and bake the second sheet another 2 minutes.
- Cool and enjoy.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
Here’s another one of my favorite cookies. I’ve made them many times and they are far better than store-bought and will make everyone happy.
Yields 35 cookies
1 stick butter
2/3 cup white sugar
2/3 cup light brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbs water
2 1/3 cups AP flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips or nuts, raisins, etc.
