Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe

Here’s another one of my favorite cookies. I’ve made them many times and they are far better than store-bought and will make everyone happy.

Yields 35 cookies

Ingredients:
1 stick butter
2/3 cup white sugar
2/3 cup light brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 tbs water
2 1/3 cups AP flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips or nuts, raisins, etc.

Directions:

  • Heat oven to 375ºF.
  • Cream-in butter, sugars, vanilla and egg in large bowl
  • Add in flour, baking soda and salt. Add in chocolate chips.
  • Drop 2 tablespoonfuls per cookie about 2 inches apart onto greased or parchment papered cookie sheet.
  • Position two oven racks in the middle levels. Bake two sheets at a time. Bake the top sheet for 12 minutes. After 12 minutes remove the top sheet and set aside to cool, then reposition the lower sheet to where the top sheet was and bake the second sheet another 2 minutes.
  • Cool and enjoy.

  2. It took many tries to get the recipe where it is. I'm very pleased with the results. With a couple of these cookies you can bribe Bulldog to do anything you want! :-)
I believe in a SHTF disaster we will need comfort foods more than ever. These are one of them.
