Our local big city newspaper (liberal) is hinting at an early frost...Thank God Sweet corn harvest has started and wheat should be in a week or two.
ReplyDeleteI like the Sun Spot count. It is something anyone can research for the years and number of spots vs growing seasons first frost and winter length.
ReplyDeleteFor the homesteader it may be time to consider a large 25x50 hoop greenhouse and grow human edibles in a protected environment.
For pasture feed grains and grasses that just won't grow enough to feed the current level of livestock, we may very well be screwed!
